Fall, Ragweed Pull

Common ragweed is a very invasive plant that spreads by seed and can grow in disturbed or poor soils. The best way to manage ragweed plants in the garden, while avoiding damaging other plants, was to hand pull them. Together with student volunteers, we hand pulled ragweed plants to be disposed.

In late October this year, almost everything has gone to seed for the season. We have collected and saved the seed to share with others and for reseeding the plots.
