The end of winter is near, if not here…Our cover crop is flourishing (see image below of oats, peas, and prairie rye grass), and there’s a lot of young growth on the ground.
Join us for a commuity work day where we will work on a couple major tasks:
Staking and roping the plots to create a boundary.
Mulching select areas within the plots.
Creating compost piles to remove some of the dead/down material.
Volunteers should dress appropriately for outdoor work including proper footwear and sun protection. Please also bring your own water bottle. This event will run rain or shine, unless it’s downpouring, and then we’ll reschedule. For parking information, please visit: https://parking.rice.edu/
